For those of you who don't know, I recently had a contest in which readers told me one thing they'd like to see added or changed on the blog, using their "sloth straightforwardness" (in assumption that that'd be the personality of a sloth). One lucky user will be walking home with a Sloth Mount, and others with various codes for mounts and crowns.
And the Winners Are...
The follow wizards and pirates have been declared winners!Antonio Lotusblood - 1st Prize - One Gifted Slowpoke Sloth mount in your game of choice
Lucy Fer, Andrew Sunstone - 2nd, 3rd Prize - One code for a 15-day Panther mount (Wizard101, with a chance of being permanent) and 2,500 crowns
Sandra Ruffle, Rony - 4th, 5th Prize - One code for a 7-day Buffaloon mount (Pirate101, with a chance of being permanent) and 2,500 crowns
SorceressMiklai, Aidan Johnston, Kelly Lionward - 6th, 7th, 8th Prize - Random permanent Wizard101 mount
Claiming Your Prizes
I have attempted to contact everyone via the email that they used on the account that follows the blog - I asked you to follow so that I could contact you with asking for any personal information. If you did not receive your prize, it is probably because you did not follow the blog or did not follow under the same name, and I therefore have no way of contacting you. You may reach me with your information via the blog (I will not publish your comment containing it), my email [swordroll (at) gmail (dot) com], or my Twitter or Facebook accounts. I'll try to get you your prizes through those.
Followed the instruction, and still haven't received your prize? Log in to the followers area to the right - you may need to approve me sending messages to your email.
Contest Follow-Up
Looks like I'll still have to experiment with this Google Friend Connect system. Anyway, now that the contest is over, there aren't any prizes to win, but I still value everyone's opinion, so if you'd like to share, tell me this - what would you like to see or see changed on this blog?
Thanks for reading, and see you in the Spiral!
Thank you Swordroll!
ReplyDeleteMy wizard got a White Mare mount :)
Also in my case for getting my message/code: I went to my name on the members list on the right and it said I had a message from you. It then asked me if I wanted to receive messages from your site to my e-mail to which I clicked "Yes". I received my code from you via e-mail.
Just in case anyone else is wondering how to get theirs :)

Yay! So glad I got a prize! Thank you Swordroll, just a shame you missspelt my name but oh well! :)
ReplyDeleteAck! Sorry about that, I made the correction.
DeleteThanks.
DeleteWill there be any other contests soon, as I think this was a great chance to win some great items and I'd love to do it again?
ReplyDeleteThe next time I know for sure I'll be doing something big is late May for my blog's second anniversary.
DeleteThanks, glad you liked it!
Great, can't wait to find out what! Can't give us a clue, can you?
DeleteNope, I've got to figure it out first! :P
ReplyDeleteHaha! Can I make a suggestion?
DeleteAbsolutely! ;)
DeleteYou could do a Dueling Tournament, a different tournament for each of the 3 games, with an epic prize for each game. And it would be blog member V blog member- times and meetings would need to be sorted out, so I don't know if you can easily do it, but I thought it might be a good and "Big" idea for the 2nd Anniversary!
DeleteHi can I ask you when there is a contest please because my life wizard Julia Spiritstaff really wants a prize.
ReplyDeleteIf there's a new item like the Sloth Mount, I may come up with a quick contest, however, my next contest FOR SURE will begin mid-May in celebration of my blog's second anniversary.
Deletegood!I haven't entered the last contest! maybe I will be in the one in may!
ReplyDelete-liam redstaff the one who sent you the comment about dragonspyre epic duel in the lions dueling
hey, im not exactly sure but I think the sloth mount is now gone. is there still a way to get the mount in contests?
ReplyDelete-liam redstaff
I have a question, where do you get the prizes? I kind of want to do a contest, but have no idea where I can get codes.
ReplyDeleteGood question!
DeleteAs an unofficial blog in all but the UK, I don't receive items to give away. That means that I've got to provide my own.
In the case of this contest, I actually gift from my own crowns supply. Sometimes, I'll buy crowns in a certificate format to give away as a code. But most of the time, I enter contests from other fansites and give away the prizes I win instead of using them for myself.
Unfortunately, with time limits recently imposed by KI on codes, things have gotten interesting, but I'm managing. :)
