Zeus Gear Drop Guide (Tartarus) | Wizard101

Zeus can initially be found in Olympus, but stands with his brothers for the final battle of Tartarus at his full power. While Zeus' gear is often overlooked (and can be tough to obtain), some of the pieces are worth noting! Here's a look at what Zeus drops in Tartarus.

Zeus Sky Father

Zeus Sky Father is fought alongside Poseidon and Hades in the final battle of Tartarus. Zeus is a Rank 13 Myth boss, but also uses a variety of Storm spells. He has 27,500 health and high Myth resistance. Do not be fooled by the way the Wiki sorts gear: Hades does not drop Zeus gear. This means that Hades' chest will not award Zeus gear. The only way to get this gear is from battling Zeus in Tartarus.

Gear Appearance

Unlike Poseidon's gear, you'll actually see some Zeus gear floating around. The robe is especially nice, and the level 90 version has decorative metal feathers on the shoulder plates. The wand is also quite unique - take a look!

Why They Matter

For awhile now, particularly a month or two ago, I've been focusing on significant gear throughout the game, including its popularity, impact, and how it fits into setups compared to other gear. The series has been on a bit of a hiatus as I've been working on obtaining missing gear pieces, but I'm nearing completion and there'll be a few more of these popping up, likely this month.

Zeus' hats are surprisingly viable as a level 90+ gear option. They lean toward offense, but that's not only a mirror of most hats used at higher levels, it's also a perfectly valid setup option. The hats offer as good of damage as Hades' offensive set and simply swap or trade around some other stats. They're nothing to sneeze at.

The rest of the pieces are more heavily focused on offense than usual, but still acceptable for use, particularly if you're only filling in one piece of missing Hades gear. The wands, with their critical, are okay options at level 90, with the Life wand getting a little bit of extra attention due to the healing bonuses that are included.
